I made this little emoticon to show how I am browsing through deviantArt.

It was really a sh*tload of work to create this, because it was really hard to find a GIF animator which respects background transparency. If anyone could suggest a very good animation program I would be really glad.

The best animation software is Flash, by far. The only other software to compete with it is Fireworks. If you are a person who hand-draws each frame, and put them together to animate, then you can use Photoshop itself! Its very easy to create frame animations.
But note that none of the above are free. You need to either buy it or pirate it.

Smoothness wasn't the problem, but puting the frames together and running on a transparent background :)
